MONGOLIA... come explore the Land of Genghis Khan, the world's last nomads, the great Gobi dessert, and vast grasslands with sweeping vistas of undulating steppes. This part of the world is rare as not many Westerners have experienced one of the last horse-based cultures on earth which thrive on the unfenced Mongolian steppes. Where the wealth is counted by the number of sheep, yak and Bactrian (two-humped) camels. Enjoy a stay in a traditionally decorated yurt where you can sample yak milk. The highlight of this tour is the "Naadam Festival" where you will experience the thrill of watching hundreds of race horses with their remarkable young riders, watch strong wrestlers performing the "Eagle Dance" and see the skill of the arches who are dressed in their traditional garb. The festivities are colorful and exciting!
